Please know , that METRO X prototype was designed long before Creality started reselling Raptor ( Creality do not produce their own products , they are cheap resellers of other manufacturers) same as you would buy stuff by Aldi :joy:

METRO X is better and have more modes to use and better hardware that Revopoint can adjust at any giving moment because they manufacturing it themselves.

Raptor killer you ask ? Yes but not intended or on purpose… They just brining their new design to live … as usual .

The more time I have for saving the money and making up the justification to buy yet another 3d scanner, the better! Still I hope it doesn’t take too long…Many might make the mistake a get one of the competitors scanners and not having money left for the real deal .

Good luck to them with that !
KS campaign takes some time anyway , after all it is still a prototype and so different from all we know from Revopoint so far , nothing yet is written in the stone 100% .

You don’t buy a product on KS , you supporting development of a product , so it is in in everyone interest to get the best version possible after the campaign .

For that reason I would not recommend to pushing it .

Will the MetroX have the capability to scan with a mobile device? I never process any scans via mobile, but the ability to capture data with just my phone and a device and then process it at a workstation later has been really great. Not sure if it is impossible with a laser device, I have not used one previously. If it has this feature and has performance similar to the creality offerings I think I’d be 100% sold.

I can’t answer that specific questions at this moment . Please wait for October for more details on the exact specifications . I can only tell you that the hardware and functions are much better than the current laser device by the competitor.

Thanks for the reply. I strongly believe that Revopoint’s strongest point against creality is that their software is actually good, so I will be looking forward to the reveal.

They don’t produce/make their products or software … they are supplied by other companies for their product and software , all of them. They are just a online store with a very high budged to do whatever .

Manufacturer and a seller 2 different things .
A good software with bad hardware can’t replace good manufacturer .

Revopoint just started … and it is going in a good direction , all it needs is little more time . Most important the hardware is good ! The rest can be always adjusted to perfection .

is exact wht i need
powerful standalone scanner without android os
so should cost less than those bundle with os

From the banner I would presume it’s 22 crosslaser (simscan style) so must be a mode for deep hole and accuracy mode for parallel laser and 4th mode for colour scanning with structured light
Let’s see if guessed accurately

and don’t forget about an IR scanning mode😉
