@PUTV Is the metrology kit compatible with our current Miraco Scanners?
At this moment it is not , despite the fact that attempts was made . Also new zoom function require new hardware as well so not working on current devices .
However there may be some good updates in the near future to the current version of MIRACO
The metrology kit is great for scanning large flat surfaces like cars etc . For regular scans old MIRACO version still rocks as before .
The Metrology Kit offers scanning very big surfaces but with fine details , so not lose of accuracy like for example with Far mode , the details are preserved from small to long distance . Of course best usage here is reverse engineering in combination with Metrology Kit

Thank you, that is some great information and I am glad they are pushing forward. Looking forward to updates to the current version. It is a fantastic scanner already. I love mine.
Super disappointing about the metrology kit compatibility. New optics needed for zoom is understandable but darn. The Miraco was certainly positioned as less… disposable than the other scanners.
After 6 device purchases the fatigue is settling in.
The updated version is really great and it took us all by surprise .
