The only problem is that each picture showing something else , on one early pic you have structured light ( projector ) on the last one there is not structured light projector … and only infrared LEDs for calibrating and laser .
Remember it is still prototype and everything can change .

But keep having fun guessing !
 I will make my best to confuse you until then …

Sorry but my Miraco was my last Kickstarter. I’ve lost money on KS and they don’t help backers at all. I really am very grateful to Revopoint for abiding by their pledge promises. Unfortunately lot’s of businesses on KS scam backers. I am very happy with my Miraco Pro  please let me know how this new campaign goes and good luck.

Metro X is still a prototype, not ready for a any sales , with baking on KS you help brining it to market and not buying final product like in the store .
I have a lot of laser scanners from KS that never ever worked … and was abandoned after KS … that is scam .

I think only company that manufacturing their own products should be able to use KS , not resellers like the competitors that uses it for sales and nothing else .

I prefer to buy my products direct in the store … just to be sure I don’t lose my money .
But Revopoint was handling their after KS care well and not just once .

You are happy with your last pledge so what is the problem ?
You don’t need it , you don’t buy it …
Nobody is forcing you to do anything or kick you out the club if you don’t .

I have been also scammed a couple of times in KS. And I lost quite a lot on another 3d scanner, btw (Eora 3d). From own experience, there are 3 types of projects:

a) Bad intentions. I’d put projects like ONO/OLO in this category. Some people think KS is a source for quick cash and that’s all.

b) Good intentions, but no good business plan. Kickstarter is plagued with those projects. Remember that you are investing on an idea, so there is an inherent risk, so everything may happen, and this usually means that the company or not delivers (eora 3d) or delivers and finally implodes fighting with the production line (Rigidbot). In case of Eora, I have used the term “scammed”, but being honest, the project owners failed to deliver, but at least they tried.

c) Good intentions, good business plan. These are the real gems of Kickstarter. I would put here companies like Occipital, Formlabs, and of course Revopoint. In these companies, the risk is greatly diminished because they know what they are doing. The key here, as @PUTV mentions, is that they are already manufacturers and they know what does it mean to move from a prototype to a production line.

We have a saying in Spanish “que no paguen justos por pecadores” (something like… “It is unacceptable for the righteous to be punished along with the sinners”)

Of course, I’ll be there to try to grab a good pledge when the Metro X is launched

+1 Roberto, well said ! There is never guarantee when you invest your money in ideas of others that don’t know yet where to go next. Choice wisely, KS is not a pre-order online store .

Dear Revopoint!

I live in EU.

Can you deliver X from a European warehouse?

I have already bought three scanners from RevoPoint via Kickstarter. I live in Germany and only had problems with customs or similar.

Hi @3dsla
Metro X is not even ready for mass production or any shipping . You will have to wait for that information a little longer .
Stay tuned .

More infos available
Including the 4 scanning modes
( Infrared scanning is not available ) But hey you can scan black and shiny things without a 3D spray , so even better .

You can check also direct this info
Scroll down after the sign up
To learn about the 4 scanning modes .

would be very intrested and i think i could be an added value since i have in han the pop2 the mini the miraco, the moose, creaform handyscan701 & my favorite the Simscan30 and hopefully the new nimblescan soon
and i wanna see how its gonna perform infront of the new xxxxxxxxxx scanner head to head, have alot of scans but mostly engineering parts and currently working on jewellery 3d scanning projects that is surprisingly very very hard to achieve by all of the above arsenal

IMHO, a bold and wise move. I hope we will have some sessions explaining the different modes in detail, because now I’m a bit lost (o perhaps I should say overwhelmed by the specs )

What most interesting me is this
With 0.03mm accuracy full automatic scanning .

so i was almost correct about it

Yes it will be explained in details very soon including special technical video .
Lots of subject to cover with the modes as it is nothing Revopoint scanners used before ( beside structured light )

So the only thing in MetroX you going to be familiar is just the Structured Light scanning just as Mini series offers . The rest is total different animal .
MetroX do not offer infrared structured scanning .

Yes that what some of us are looking for … Yet it is not replacement for MINI serie scanners …
More about soon … :grinning:
