Nice, clean scan. Did you have to fill many holes in those vertical lines?

Hi Guys, can you please help me out with a small test ?
With the last computer software build and POP2, can you scan a simple object in color and see if the textures you generated looking ok and post screenshot ?
For some reason my POP2 producing scrambled textures , the RGB looks ok but once I click Texture button it looks scrambled… I am trying to find out if it is the software or the firmware since the projection is not accurate .

Thank you in advance!

did some quick tests, looked ok, my lighting wasn’t very good, included a screen shot of the version I used

hope it helps

Thank you Johnathan, I see slightly shift to the right on the blue collar, but the rest looks ok as for POP2.

for some reason the last software build don’t allow me to scan color with POP2 ,the last one that allow me to do is from early March , so even more mysterious … I tested all devices I have and same issue.

that’s very odd, I haven’t seen any problems myself with colour but I don’t use it very often to be honest with colour, most stuff I do doesn’t need it.

do you always see the colour preview window ok or does that also not work? if you see the preview window ok and still get no colour then that is even more strange

preview is ok and RGB too … but once I click generate textures it is a mess … only the first frame that I started scanning is projected proper , the rest is not

I see what you mean now, that’s going to be annoying for you, does nobody at Revopoint have an idea of what is happening? must be some sort of bug if the older software is ok,

if you use different software to generate the texture is everything ok? I mean not revopoint software

Yes , the textures are perfect in older software but not early than beginning of March … Revo Team is already working on it as I reported … I just want to be sure that everyone with latest firmware have the same issue … or no issue at all to find out , since I am testing stuff for Revo I want to be sure it is not on my side .

what I was thinking is was the data ok to work in a non revopoint software ok and its just something to do with the processing in revo scan or is there an error in the data also that makes it unusable in other software

No just texture generator function , nothing else , but since it working with yours this can be firmware as well. We see

I know @Miamijerry updated his firmware as well, I wonder if he have any issues or not with generating textures as that is only the issue I have .

Please break down how you would like me to test my POP2?

Thank you ,. Just scan simple object in color , one 360 degree rotation is enough and mesh it and generate textures , that’s all.

Same way Johnathan did above .

Thanks in advance

POP2 color texture test after firmware upgrade.

After fusing

After texture

I did notice something, there were lines in the yellow hair after applying the texture. They looked like fine detail of the hair, but the item does not have that detail. By the time I did a screenshot, the rendering change to show a smooth texture to the hair, which is correct.

Can you please post a screenshot of the issue? Just to be sure what you mean.

@PUTV

I did a scan test with the following settings:

Here a picture of the scanned object:

After fusing:

After meshing:

After texturing:

I’ve noticed that the texturing process took way much time than usual

What I’ve also just noticed is that I haven’t updated the firmware already  :see_no_evil:

But I can do another test with updated firmware if you want to. Just let me know
