MINI- PUTV 3D Models Showcase Progress & Tips

Hi Guys,

I tried the Attblime liquid for 3D scanning … worth $37 ? not really for a little alcohol and rice starch , MINI still can pick it up, but it do not glogging the details as much , but is it better than Zinc Oxide mixture? slightly , in short not worth the money when used with MINI .

The dollar coin do not have that big relief so not much details you can capture anyway … but since MINI can pick-up a layer thickness of 3 µm , I don’t think there is anything better that can be used unless you go into nano particles but I don’t recommend in home enviorment .

You can see a horizonal line where the layer was … next to his eyes and mouth right …

the vertical lines on the blue sticky putty are my finger prints …

The Revo Scan model shader showing as always half the details

I am going to make another test with ring/stones to see if more details can be picked up

BTW , I went to a vending machine last weekend to buy some water , and in the change I got 5 x $1 coins of the American Presidents collection , 3 of them were the “Godless” dollars from 2007-2008 worth $40 each … nice change

Some MINI scan while testing things out

very small 2.7inch around 70mm figurine but lots of details, it was gold so I used 3D scan liquid to keep the details .
Revo Scan used 19GB of RAM for fusing it as I scanned all at once.

Not edited as scanned and meshed in Revo Scan , I tried the fused point cloud in CC but the results was the same.
Maybe if I scan it more close up and partial scans, it would have more sharper details , but honestly I am happy with it .

Thanks Eric , it took some time to fuse and I was not even sure it would works , but it did , and the results was optimal that not Revo Studio or Cloud Compare can do better , the difference only that CC was much faster in cleaning and meshing . But the fusion was forever , however the result are great :+1: without the hasle of merging individual scans .
Now I am wondering how long it will take to print at 10 inches , I need to clean it up a little bit before .

I did notice that the national news did not cover the temperatures around the country today, just the regions with fires.

@Johnathan @Erked
Just raw clean preview … the support is hard to remove from all the cavities so it will take little time to finish and prepare for staining.

I made the proper scale so it can hold the golden dollar coin

Going to stain it in antique unprocessed barn wood stain wash wax , it absorbing so well .
Some test on the left over supports.

Looks great😍 Well done. I have a resin printer, but I’m waiting to buy a FDM printer till I can afford one that prints Ultem. It may be awhile since they are really expensive.

PUTV,
Are you able to select .02mm point spacing with the Mini with the new Revo Scan software?
Thanks for your help.
