Since probably a lot of peoples phones require a subscription for WIFI tethering, it would be nice if there was a wifi option to connect in the PC app. So we could use it cordless.

My Dell 7480 (low- to mid-range laptop, depending on your perceptions) only requires a single virtual button press to activate Hotspot (once you’ve preset its identity and password).
If your system doesn’t make it that simple, here are two ways to do it in Windows 10:

Simple enough, but a drawback is that Marker mode won’t work over WiFi.
