RANGE 3D Scanner l PUTV Showcase Thread

Hi @PUTV, could you give us some advice on: scanning in a angle and with only one layer of scanning? This gives a problem with the chin, nose or crossed arms. A second round with the range gives a “double nose”, big chin, or stitchmarks on the arms . But only one round gives a hole.

How do you manage that?

Simple just move the angle of the scanner up and down , start with the face scanner down 35 degrees, then change the scanner to up 35 degrees to scan from under chin to top of the face .

So going down from forehead to chin
Then move up 35 degrees and move from chine to forehead then you move to the rest , always start with the face first to avoid double noses later since nobody can stand that still for too long .

The same with crossed arms , always move your scanner angle .

You can do the same while your model stand on a turntable . Always start from the face .

So… Start at the front of the face? Not sidewards?

Let me check if I understand correctly, the route will be:

  1. start forehead (angle 35 down)
2 move to bit lower then chin
3 hold still, switch angle (angle 35 up)
4 switch to side of face / hair to top (simultaneously switching angle to 35 down?)
