Jiffy Box is my texture testing object I use for almost 3 years now ![]()
If you go for POP2 at $250 , I recommend you go for Inspire then , check my inspire Showcase , it need little extra light for color but so much better since it already have white balance and exposure settings what is crucial for scanning textures as you want manual settings .
I prefer now 100% Inspire vs POP2 , so much more fun scanning various objects and less tracking issues , I would call it POP2+ on steroids .
And yes scanning small objects with turntable and tripod is crucial to minimize the shaking while scanning for best details in scans and color, to avoid blurred frames and photos.
Scanning is an Art , it require patience and practice , but since you doing photogrammetry you know exactly what I am talking about.
