Miraco calibration problem

Hi I would like to explain my problem. I decide to calibrate my scanner, because I find that it has difficulty with the markers. But I can’t get through the accuracy check phase, it says failed all the time. Even if I decide to skip this step at the end of my calibration, it still fails.

Hi! So you did it as shown in this tutorial and still no success?

can you maybe share a video of your calibration process?

Answer von Fay Green from Revopoint on FB, just in case anybody else has this issue:

“Calibrating the scanner does take some time. However, if you find yourself spending too much time without success, please reach out to our technical support to see what the issue might be. If possible, you could also record a calibration video as Tony did; this can help the technical support team quickly identify the problem. Here:

I hope they can solve it for you. Maybe you let us know then how they solved the problem.

Hi @Hellpanzer please try to use more equal lighting , it will help to capture better the markers, the calibration need to take precise photos of the markers on the board so it need to reflect well . If is too dark in the environment if will fail .

Are you calibration the near mode ? or the Far mode ?

BTW if the accuracy check fail, this mean you need to process with the calibration . What you mean by skipping it at the end ? there is nothing to be skipped at the end , only save the new calibration .

if at the end of the whole process it fail, then you need to start over , add some good lighting, it will works .

If you have problem with the markers while scanning, that means your Miraco need to be recalibrated .

When I say I skip the step, it means that I go to the calibration step. but it fails every time in the end, even in different environments with different lighting.

for exemple

this my video calibration test

Please contact customer@revopoint3d.com

And include the link to this thread for reference, we do not provide hardware support in the forum , you need direct appointment with the technician.

Thank you

Same thing here.
Although my Miraco works fine, I wanted to know if calibration works when needed. But it fails.

I wonder if since all the updates, if it hasn’t created a problem with the calibration

I also can’t calibrate with the latest Miraco update. It also doesn’t finish saving at the end. When I tried before with the original version of the software before I updated, it worked normally. I think it’s an update.

Ok guys I am gonna check the last update and let you know if there are any issues , I recalibrated my Miraco recently without any issues but not sure if that was 5.4.12 version already .

Oh so you mean after last MIRACO software update ? What version ?

The Miraco’s software really has nothing to do with calibration , the computer software do the calibration and store the whole calibration data on your computer not MIRACO itself .
After that it update only the adjusting data on Miraco , so if you can’t finish it on Revo Scan , there may be something else on the hand . I will check it out in a while .

When I tried it for the first time before the Miraca update, I also had an older version of Revo scan and the calibration worked. I’m not sure if it’s a Miraca update or a Revo Scan update. I tried it 3 times, each time the calibration was complete, but when it was supposed to transfer the calibration files to the Miraco at the end, it wrote an error. I have Miraco Pro version V2.5.34.20240809 and Revo Scan version 5.4.12

Ok I have all versions so I am checking it out .
It is possible ( just guessing ) that after adding the Miraco Plus profile to the new version of RS 5.4.12 , some conflict may occured when updating the Miraco’s calibration data . Just guessing …

We will see in a moment .

the technical service told me to go to 5.4.9 to be able to calibrate the miraco. I’ll see that tonight

as I suspected , I just checked Miraco Plus v1.2.0.37 calibration went without issues , now will check Miraco Pro and Miraco

Miraco v2.3.141.20240311 , Calibration Passed and saved RS 5.4.12
Miraco & Miraco Pro v2.5.34.20240809 Calibration Passed and saved RS 5.4.12
Miraco Plus v2.6.16.20240830 Calibration Passed and saved RS 5.4.12

All calibrations passed and saved without issues using Revo Scan 5.4.12 OS Windows 11

Thank you very much for trying it out. Then I don’t understand what else it depends on. I will probably try to install an older version of Revo Scan.

No idea why , if the RS 5.4.9 don’t works either it may be something wrong while the Miraco firmware was updated on the Individual devices that have problem with . I just updated my older Miraco to the latest firmware and calibrated without issues using RS 5.4.12

Only the dev.team can know the answer at this moment , I will forward the thread tonight when everyone is back in the office .

Please everyone that try again make screenshot of the error you got after Calibration to make things easier to recognize , was that Calibration Failed or Error updating the Successful Calobration as that are 2 different things .

As I asked the technical service, I installed version 5.4.9 and the calibration went well.
