I was thinking bad alignment but indeed it was Made in Ch-na

"MiNI, discover the hidden!" or something like that:grin:
You know when you scan your palm with MINI it looks like an landscape of another planet . If you could go to 0.01mm resolution , the finger prints would be already visible , the only 3d scanner that do that cost at least $29K .
Scanning black parts with the spray is not make it better , MINI can pick up the spray like a layer of dust with all its imperfections , after I finished scanning with POP2 it was starting vaninish not even 20 min … so never will buy Blue again , I prefer the Orange , last double time longer in the can and can scan without rush.
MINI is definitely smoother , at distance it all looks nice , but once you make close up, MINI is the winner definitely . Now I wish it could scan big objects as POP2.
I did not setup Facebook account yet … not enough time for here and YT … but I will soon
Here some more MINI scans Michael Kors Watch
this was huge , 32 millions of point over 13GB of Ram consumed in Revo Scan
the smallest stone size is 0.5mm

Insane! Insanely good! Such quality scan for so little money (especially compared to other 3d scanners capable of similar quality) ! So looking forward to getting mine! ![]()
Do you mind sharing a link to your post(s) on facebook Revopoint groups? This is definitely something not to be missed.
insane it is, on top just raw data and not even cleaned .
I used color per vertex to give it some color

No problem @ivan go ahead ! thanks
Wondering if MINI can pick up single hair! ![]()
@PUTV, what do you think? Maybe a fast scan of forearm with some hairs doable? ![]()
by itself not , the minimum volume I could pick up was 7mmx7mmx7mm , but on surface probably .
European hair 0.06 and 0.08 mm as normal, and hair with a diameter between 0.08 to 0.1 mm thick, Asian hair can reach 0.15mm
The smallest details I picked up on surface so far are at 0.1mm
I don’t have Asian hair to scan , but I will try something else
Here is the MINI scan of the Gauge

The little noise is actually the 3D spray
for precision scanner like that , even dust will be visible
I ordered 0.7mm nozzle to use with the new 3D spray I ordered but will use it with my Airbrush for more precise application , the can spray sometimes has too big particles.
can you share some images and maybe the raw mesh of the palm scan? would love to take a look
As a beta testers we are not allowed to share meshes , but I can show a scan and rotation of the mesh .
Our devices are just prototypes , so I am expecting even better results with the final product as things improve daily. .
I can’t even calibrate my unit yet or use at minimum 10cm distance for full potential but it is great even at 15cm .
no worries. thanks for sharing all the details!
as a new user to the revoprint ecosystem, I’d love to learn more about revo studio for joining scans, do you have any resources you could share in this topic?
I too wander if you can start a scan with the POP 2 and after to scan the parts you need in higher details to continue to scan the parts you need with the MINI.
of course you can do that , and exactly the same way you do normally when merging partial scans
did you already check the manual? Revo Studio is one way to go, CloudCompare another one I use a lot.
