Wow I got the Dual Axis turntable today , was shipped Friday Night from China with FedEx and already delivered this morning , super speedy 3 days delivery .
However it don’t have an instruction and where to download the app to control it .
I did not got the memo so have to wait until tonight .
Anyway looks like very nice build , good size too , to 5KG weight. Powered only via outlet. No physical remote control.
I was wondering about that as well , I guess possibilities for another DIY project , it would be helpful to hold some kind of objects , but also wondered why not included.
No rechargeable battery either , I read somewhere that the tilt is automatic after full rotation controlled by an phone app as remote control but that is all about I know at this moment .
I hope the app will provide more possibilities like various speed etc …
Also the top is not rubberized so very slippery. I will have to use one of my silicone mats on top to prevent objects from sliding .
My own dual axis turntable has 8 speeds for rotation and tilt , lithium battery and remote control and rubberized top. And is at the same price range .
I will make some video tonight after I get access to the control app .
I was hoping in the begining it will start rotating once you click the scanning play button in Revo Scan and automatic finish the scanning cycle , what would be fantastic and a great improvement.
But we going to find out tonight what it is all about .
I hope it works well when you get it, it’s a shame they didn’t get it working earlier so it could be tested by some beta testers so if needed it could be improved before everyone else gets it, a non slip top will help for sure, I can see a lot of diy modifications on the horizon
Have you tried contacting by Bluetooth ? I know it probably won’t get you anywhere but just interested, would be cool if you connected to it press go on Revo Scan and it came to life lol
I tried and connected but nothing was working beside successful Bluetooth connection , not on android app or PC , that was the first thing I tried . In 5 hours I will know more
Ok the mystery is solved , the Revopoint Dual Axis Turntable will be controlled via Revo Scan and no more via an app on the phone , so semi automatic .
The software is not ready yet so I will get the chance to test it out this weekend .
I wish I printed a bigger version as this small was quite a challenge.
Well next time will be better … I wanted ceramic effect and in person looks like ceramic .
Thank you Ivan , it is a Triple Thick brilliant brush on Gloss Glaze , very thick like epoxy but water based and odorless , it cure in 24h after application into like a glass over appearance
I like to use it to get the ceramic effect as it add depth .
You can find it at decoart.com
Thank you Eric , it was a while that I painted figurines in real world , as most work I do is in digital form . But after having fun with my son doing new ducks versions, I decided to make my own as well
@matty you need to use marker mode for this object , the surface is too flat , and the object too big to be scanned at once with MINI … so only marker mode , and scan multiple angles for merging it later in Revo Studio , this types of objects are simple but most difficult to scan . The scanner relays on features , without it it will jumping each time you attempt new scan .
