Working with Apple M4 chip and Sequoia

Try as I might I just can’t seem to get RevoScan5MetroX v 5.5.0 to open on my new iMac. It is running MacOS15.2 with 16GB of memory and an Apple M4 chip. Is anyone else having issues with this setup? Any advice on how to get it working?

Is that it won’t open or is it that it won’t install after downloading? If it’s the latter, you need to run the installer, have the Mac complain about no trusting it, then go to Settings, Privacy, and allow the installer to run.
I don’t have an M4 but I do have an M1 Pro and an M2. It works fine on both of those.

I was able to download and install V5.5.0 several times. But I am not able to open it.

Hi @carthagenj

The latest version of Revo Scan 5 MetroX software is v 5.6.1, have you downloaded Revo Scan 5?

Please scroll down on the download page to get the Revo Scan 5 MetroX .

If you’re still having issues, Mac security may be stopping it. Try to launch the app, then go to System Settings → Privacy and Security and scroll towards the bottom. If it’s being blocked you should see a note to that effect with a button saying “open anyway” (or the like). Once you press that, you can then launch the app (although you may have to confirm that you want to launch it).

I just installed revopoint software on a MacBook Air with m4.

It blocks the app on the first try. Just go to seeting→ privacy and security→ go down to security and the a button is available and you can give permission for the installer to run.

I was able to get it to run on my iMac using the instructions provided. But I also had to startup in Safe Mode. Perhaps you might want to give that try.
