Hello. I have an MetroY Pro scanner. I have a plug&Play USB Wifi stick, but it doesn’t recognize the scanner. I don’t see in my list. What can I do? I need another wifi adapter? I tried it with 3 different stick, but not working
I use windows 10
Is your wifi stick wifi 6?
Hi @kORGLYDAD
Your WiFi stick need to be 5Ghz only,
2.6Ghz will not work
It is. It support 5Ghz.
No, Only wifi 5
But my Macbook Air '2017 has only Wifi 5 adapter and it’s work with the scanner. But this is soo slow, this is why I want to use my pc.
This issue is probably with your WiFi adapter
I found some trouble shooting on the product page , you may check it out as it is definitely the adapter settings
That’s no matter WiFi 5 and 6 are supported , not only WiFi6 .
I see other 2,4/5G networks. just not the scanner
I am sorry I have really no idea how help you here out with it as I don’t know that product .
Something must be off in the settings that prevent the Scanner network to show up
Please contact customer@revopoint3d.com for technical assistance, they may give you better tip on it , hopefully!
I assume your can see the scanner network also on your phone WiFi ?
Yes I see it on my iPhone 13
Ok then it is definitely the WiFi adapter issue , you will need to find something better if the technician don’t give you any tip regarding the current one .
Just make sure CS knows it working fine on your iPhone and Mac so they don’t think it is the scanner issue.
Best way to include the thread link to your support request email as reference .
I had same problem with a TP-Link adapter I bought on Amazon. Could not get it connected to the scanner. Problem was solved when I changed my region in the scanner from Netherlands to Germany. Regions have different frequenties/channels. Since my adapter was probably a German model, he could not pick up the scanner set to Netherlands. When I changed the region on the scanner to Germany, it worked fine.
Ohhh thank you. And how can I change the region to German in the scanner?
Hi @rjhen3071 that is true I hear about it before but totally forgot.
Successfull
I changed it to German, and instantly see the scanner in my wifi connections. Sooo @rjhen3071 thank you very much,…
Hi @kORGLYDAD so what country you were from ?
Good to know you solved it !
