POP3 works with WiFi 6 PC only?

My POP3 works fine with iphone 11 pro which has got WiFi 802.11AX . However, the scanner does not work with my 7-year old laptop which is equipped with WiFi 802.11AC . The Revpoint customer service people told me that POP3 works with “WiFi 6G” devices only and I assume it is 802.11AX so this may explains why. What I don’t understand is WiFi AP of newer versions should be compatible with devices of older versions as mentioned here : Wi-Fi 6 Compatible Devices and Their Use Cases | Digi International.

May I know if this can be fixed via firmware upgrade of the scanner ? I am not prepared to buy a new laptop just because of that.

All scanners works with WiFi 5 and WiFi 6
So you need dual band WiFi to be able to use it on your laptop

Revopoint scanners don’t works with 2.4Ghz WiFi adapters only with 5Ghz +

It should works ,since it works on my old device and it uses 802.11AC
POP3 is compatible with
WiFi 5 and WiFi 6 as long it uses 5GHz
