Right now on the Android Mobile app the quality is the worse it even was , the textures are so blurred out it is completely not usable for anything , before you could at least share it via Internet but now it is just s blob not even good for preview .
There are not white balance settings when capturing the color , so the colors are patchy as the light change so the colors .
What I would like to see
White balance settings ( a standard setting for capturing a color data )
An clear option for fusing, meshing or texturing , not one click edit option as it is good for nothing with this quality at this moment .
A clear option where you can decide if you want to start a new scan without the need of processing each time , meaning a new scan option . As many new users don’t know they can start new project without the need of wasting time processing scans that are good for nothing . Not usable so why bother with the processing at all .
Thank you very much for your advice! The first 5 are already planned. I’ll feed point 6 back to the product department, and thanks as always for the excellent advice!
I find that the feature tracking is much better on PC. and this could extend the distance to the PC. A while ago I wanted to scan something in my car. Tried for an hour with the app without any useful results. then linked an old laptop with remote desktop to my PC and a few minutes later it was ready.
You can also use an Android tablet with a desktop remote screen app or an Android phone for that matters and not the other way around . And scan on PC using your phone or tablet as monitor only .
Personally I got tired of using Android tablets and phones and got myself win11 Dell tablet/PC with 16GB of RAM and i7 processor … and that was the best money I spent to use with all my Revopoint scanners… scanning now direct to flash drive with an easy way to move my projects between computers without importing exporting …
Customization of frame limit based on device memory capacity
It’s frustrating to be limited to 3000 frames on a device with 12gb of RAM
If a user wishes to capture more frames than their device can convert to model, they should be allowed to with the understanding they will have to transfer the project to PC to create a mesh
Advanced workflow options similar to Miraco / Desktop workflow
Mobile workflow is essentially limited to “One-Click” which produces very basic models, even on high-end devices
Users should be able to customize fusion settings, isolation, overlap, etc.
Users can manually remove junk points before creating mesh
Ability to pair mobile app / device to Desktop app and remove the need to use the 4 digit code
Allows for users to one-click upload projects to PC when not in front of PC. My use-case is capturing data from different rooms on same network, then send to workstation for later processing
Allow for auto-sync of projects from Mobile to Desktop when device is not in use / charging. Similar to backup functionality found in other applications
Single Frame Capture! (the more I use this on Desktop, the more I love it. Would be great to see on Mobile)
I know this is a lot, but some of these could be game changers when scanning on the go.
A great an important Feature would be the possibility to use Feature and Marker Mode at the same time.
Shining 3D Einstar is supporting such a Feature.
Yes,Einstar is Not working in a Phone. But Revopoint is…so I Just ASK for the Option to Use Marker and Feature Mode at the same time. Should be feasable. Miraco/App and also in PC mode.
In my experience with the mobile software, I came to the conclusion that in the stage of creating the mesh, an option for setting is needed to have a better output
in old software revoscan v3 output is very vetter than revoscan v5
