I’m running Revo Scan 5.4.12 on Win10. I’ve just finished scanning an object and would like to export to other programs but every time I do I get the following error below. I thought it may have been the project that I was working on so I tried creating as new project but I’m experiencing the same issue.
C:.…\filename.ply
File not found
Check the file name and try again
I’ve rebooted my PC and tried to save the file to other locations. I’ve even tried creating the file by renaming a text file to filename.ply and then over writing it but it also fails.
After scanning you need to fuse it or mesh it , if you just fused it you have to export it as ply format , if you meshed it you can export as obj or ply
I quit don’t understand what is the problem to be honest .
Did you selected the Fused or meshed tab before going to export the scan ?
What files you renaming and why ?
You should not renaming anything in the project beside project folder name .
Can you be pls more specific ?
You should not have any issues exporting your fused scan as .ply as I am doing it everyday without issues .
And last thing I am expecting you saving your project into location you should not ,so try to find simple new location for your new project … and scan again then fuse then export your point cloud
Without fusing your point cloud there will be no filename.ply generated.
Some folders need permission , best to create a new folder under your C drive like ( C:/MyScans) for your projects and keep it , temporary folder is risky.
