Sudden Mini2 tracking issues

Hi all-
I have a Mini2 that I’ve been using for the past month. I’ve been getting really good results scanning small action figure parts. I haven’t scanned anything in a couple weeks, but yesterday I tried to scan some small mechanical parts and I’ve been getting horrible results. During scanning, the tracking is really really bad. I’m getting lots of ghosting after only a few seconds of scanning. The point cloud is a scattered mushy mess, compared to my previous scans where the point clouds while scanning are compact and a nice representation of the actual object. If I let the scan go till the end, do fusion, isolation, mesh, etc I end up with the main object and several partial versions of the object staggered around it. I scan my parts in a black felt lined box, so there are no ambient light issues. It’s the same set up that I’ve used for dozens of successful scans. Below is a link to a video where you can see the setup and attempt at a scan.
Thanks…!!

Hi!
Did you check the calibration? Maybe you need to recalibrate it.

I tried recalibrating. Still no change. Having issues even when using markers.

In your picture you can see that you have not activated the marker mode otherwise they would be shown in red. In addition, at least four markers should always be visible at the same time, as some may flicker it would be better if there were five or six.

Smaller macro dots might help better or you could make marker aids with the 3D printer if you have one.

Hi @Decibill

Did you changed the software recently or you still use the same version ?
