Hello everyone , I am having this issue with my revo scan 5 metro x app on my windows laptop. I can connect my revo metro x scanner to a revo metro but I can’t connect it to revo scan 5 metro x. I tried firewall settings and gave it to accesses it should have but nothing changed.

That’s strange as both software should work with Metro X scanner. But why would you want to use Revo Scan Metro X version?
Revo scan Metro is the most recent software version and the better one and you should use that anyway. Also notice, switching between these two software versions also requires to recalibrate the scanner to wotk properly in that software.
Regarding proper working: I notice your laptop specs (CPU, GPU and RAM) are below the minimal hardware requirements and it is much underpowered for a laser 3d scanner like Metro X
Thanks for ur reply. I thought I should use the proper software for the Metro x. It’s really strange. Yeah my laptop’s specs not very well for the scan but I’am figuring out somehow.
No problem. Metro X was the first in the line of Revopoint laser scanners and Revoscan Metro X was the first Revoscan Version which was needed to run it. Revoscan Metro (without X) is the successor, better and can run Metro X (Pro) and Metro Y (Pro). Ditch Metro X Version , use Metro version and calibrate the scanner prior using it wit Metro-Versiob.
Auto-turntable and maybe fullfield mode might run okeyish, but I don’t think laser mode will be enjoyable . Also your RAM will fill very quickly. Good luck!
New MetroX should be used only with Revo Metro , please don’t use Revo Scan MetroX, it is already archived and will be no more updated and absolutely do not calibrate your device in Revo Scan MetroX even if … Just forget about it .
Your computer specifications are too low to run MetroX in a laser mode .
Update your CPU or your GPU to Nvidia RTX not lower than RTX 3050 if you want to use laser mode .
Full Field and Auto mode will works just fine on current system but that is.
