Is it possible for someone to send me a raw scan? I would like to try the software out with something I can “fix” before purchasing the Mini 2.

What you mean with something that you can fix ?
You can import any model into the software and play with the software .
I am not home at this moment but when I am back I can send you some MINI project that you can open and fuse/mesh it
In main time I recommend you watch some tutorials so you do it right .
II guess id like to see how they come in when they need to be cleaned up. Maybe incomplete or has some holes in it. I watched a quick tutorial and now im just trying to figure it out as I go. I managed to ruin the clarity of the model they include with the download so far hahaha

How they come in depends of how you prepared the surface and scanned it .
If you do well they come in flawless … zero work of cleaning after …
That why I switched to Revopoint devices at my work , saving me weeks of work .
BTW you can’t destroy the dummy project that came with the software unless you messed up the RAW editing that you should not , it is only for repair bad scans .
You can always re-fuse the project again even after meshing and cutting it into fragments
Only Raw edit is permanent.
Everything else is not permanent , not even after saving .

I think I figures it out. Some of the features are unavailable until you plug in the device. I wanted to see how quickly the One Click feature worked and things like that but it only works on the raw scans.
The project is a raw scan … without that you could not do anything .
Stay away from One Click , it is fast preview option not maximum quality .
Just click the RAW preview . Then One Click Edit … and it will process
All options in the software works standalone .
The scanner connection is only needed for capture and nothing else.
The specific areas will highlight once you select specific stage of the scans
Raw
Fused
Meshes
Textures
Then the feature tabs will be highlighted according to your steps
Thats the other area that I can not select. Thats why I guessed they dont give you full features until you purchase a device
The only area that require a scan is the SCAN tab
