Hi! Does anyone know why the scan-processing options are out of order for the MINI2? I am scanning tiny things and need to use lots of markers to do so. I want to erase this extra stuff from my final model, but it just reappears in when I reach the next step. They only solution I have found is to perform the fusion, then the erase tools pop up so I can use them, then I erase extra stuff, and finally I have to fuse it again to get it to stay gone. BUT sometimes it still comes back at the mesh stage. If you click the one-click Edit tool, then it seems impossible to use the edit tools to erase anything. Please help!
Hi @Jmer
There is no option to fuse it again a Scan can be only fused once after scanning , there is only one option to fuse it and if you don’t do it after fusing it will show up on your final meshed scan.
Scan , edit it in raw frame edit if needed , fuse it , remove everything you want the. Mesh it and nothing can return back as that is impossible .
Many people editing the scan after meshing and when they merge it the extra stuff showing up , the reason of that is that it was not edited before meshing .
The Fused cloud point and meshed model are only 2 editable forms but they are also independent files , editing point cloud will not make changes to meshed model and vice verse .
thank you for the clarification. All of my editing tools are greyed out before I fuse the model. How do you edit the raw frame?
All editing are greyed before fuse because you need to create editable model first what is could point ( after fusing ) then edit and creat from it final mesh model.
Please check the manual of the Revo Scan 6 and check the Chapter 5 ( model editing )
I think that it is the One-click option that is confusing. If I use it, I cannot remove any extra stuff in the scan afterwards. The directions for it are misleading, because they say that you can.
You need to use manual processing , to edit your scans with precision , one click option will not give you that.
