Pop 3 Plus - Scanning Silicone Rubber (Transparent)

I am super new to 3D scanning, and mostly have used it to scan humans for my research. Currently, I’m trying to scan a silicone rubber part that is semi-transparent and has black electrical tape on it (Ecoflex 00-10 for anyone wanting to know). Obviously, the scanner is unhappy with this. Would some Aesub blue help with this? Or Aesub transparent? Or am I just out of luck here.

Hi!
If you cannot wash the piece off easily you can use aesub blue or attblime (with different sublimation times). Otherwise some foot spray or dry shampoo is what you can get as an easy and pretty cheap solution.

There is a great DIY scanning spray solution with non-nano zinc powder+ IPA, as described here by @PUTV:

Remember, especially when using commercial 3d sprays, you only need to to dust the surface a little and not to turn it completely into white .
