My first try to scan a polyester casting sock with the RevoPoint scanner.
The scan is great, now i must find a workflow that makes it easier and faster.
I am thinking of some kind of rail to guide the scanner around the object, combined with a rotating platform.
This scan was made with the cast on a rotating platform and the scanner on a improvised lifting platform.
Will continue experimenting. The goal is to be as fast or faster than scanning with my hand held laserscanner.

I think one of those relatively inexpensive robot arms might be a good tool for moving the scanner.

Do you have any experience with those robot arms?
No I do not but some of them can be programmed by ‘showing’ them what you want them to do.
