Nice! So I can make 3d scans of my wife and know the difference between AM and PM. What a beautiful worldā€¦

No, unfortunately missed that scan and couldnā€™t find it, neither.
BUT : congratulations, mate!!!:beers: :bouquet::tada: I hope your wife and kid are doing great, too!

Yeah, babies are great scanning model and you should have plenty of time to get a decent 3d scan, at least at the beginning :slightly_smiling_face:

It is easy Ivan , always -6 from your current time and you get EST NY time , -5 for people from UK .

I just realized how fast kids growing by making a scan , 3 months already showing so huge difference.

Somehow I thought at that moment EST is an asian time zone. Now I know it better and have to read and check more carefully next timešŸ˜Š

Really looking forward to the new Revoscan. It sounds like itā€™s going to be a gamechanger with loads of new features. The ability to edit scan data without having to export is what Iā€™ve been looking for since I got my first Revopoint device.

thanks for the review of the RS5, and the range, wondering if RS5 also have a better support / and advantage for GPU rendering/ meshing/ fine tuning?

The rendering is OpenGL based so not need for GPU.
The software is CPU based only , GPU would require specific amount of VRAM to be used for processing , this would put some limitations on devices without GPU and high end Graphic Cards with lots of VRAM.
Most of professional software I am using that process 3D models do not choice the GPU support for a good reason .
And I mean here processing not rendering as that are 2 different things.

Right now the way RS5 processing things is much faster than before.

But never say never ā€¦we see what the future brings , for now it is just not an option .

Well finally  Just to get it clear, the Android phone has to be in the same network when scanning or just for sending the project?. Can I scan stuff during the day and just copy the projects to my PC in the evening when Iā€™m back home?

No , only when importing projects to your PC after scanning .
Yes you can just scan all day long without fusing and import it to PC later for fusing, meshing , texturing

Just the way we always talked about before .
