My Scanning Story: How I scanned a pine cone

I wanted a complex organic object in the garden. I chose a nice pine cone and painted it white. By putting it on the scan plate a complete scan was performed in around 20 seconds. I meshed it and cleaned it up. By cutting it up in 8 pieces it was possible to scale up the object to 650% and print it. Success!

That looks great @Mattias , love the paint job , looks really authentic after printing .
Love the final result !

I tried scanning a pine cone without painting it )just used Dark mode). My results were nowhere near as good as yours.

Lesson learned.
