My first outdoor scan

I’ve reviewed several 3D scanners and the one annoying thing is that they all needed to be hooked up to my desktop so I could never scan anything outside. So when I got the Pop one of the first things I wanted to do was connect it to my phone and scan stuff outside. This is the faerie in my yard. I was scanning at dusk and had some fails. Due to the limited time before the sun went down each day I ended up going out 3 nights in a row to capture more each time. I ended up not using the textures because they were constantly changing due to the sun setting. For the third day I didn’t even bother turning them on.

Hi @Philnolan3d

I think this result is impressive!

May I know the size of this sculpture? It seems very large and complex to scan.

Could you please allow me to post this image on our subreddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/Revopoint/? Or do you have a Reddit account?

Cassie

It’s about 3 feet (1 meter) tall. You can post it there if you like. I also have a Reddit account.
