A new firmware update is available for the MIRACO series. This is a significant update that utilizes new algorithms to enhance scanning and tracking performance on feature-poor objects.
As usual you will find your new update under MIRACO’s settings.
Update Log:
1.Adds an " Enhanced Tracking " feature. When Enabled , it reduces tracking errors on featureless or low- feature surfaces.

I wonder why is this option is actually an option ? And not something hardcoded and always on, transparently ? How does it work ?

It is an option under scanning settings , it can’t be hardcoded because it would interfere when using markers , and it is not needed when scanning objects with a reach features.
It is actually less sensitive regarding how many features it tracking per frame .
It allows the features to be much far apart than before . However it is not Markerless scanning , you still need features just less per frame.
