Finally, I can usea my MIRACO again

Hello everyone,

After a year of inactivity, I can resume using my MIRACO due to family issues.
I’ve been reviewing and rewatching the video tutorials and questions here, and I’ve been trying to scan simple objects, but since I’ve had it, I’ve been having similar problems scanning.

I hope you can help me. I’ve tried searching the forum for the error, but I haven’t found anything relevant.

Generally, when I start scanning, the image ends up duplicating itself, generating a lot of noise… I’ve tried different scans and even spraying white paint on it to prevent the noise, but nothing has worked.

I hope you can help me, please

Thank you all so much, now I’m starting to really use it :))

Hi!
It’s simple. Your object lacks features, there are big flat surfaces with not enough distinguishable features for reliable tracking!

So you either put markers on it and scan in marker mode or you put enough objects (with features!) around this object for scanning in feature mode. You can remove these added objects in the post process.

Just like Ivan said, nothing else to add to it.

If shifting , you need add more objects to stabilize the tracking.

Why ? Because structured light 3D scanners relays on object features for tracking.

Then second option are markers that ignores features and tracks only markers, it can be placed around the object or on top the object.
