I’m having a bit of trouble connecting MiracoPro to my PC via USB. I’m using RevoPoint 5.5.3 software. When I connect the cable, I select Use Miraco in PC mode and press OK. After waiting for a little while, I got this error message on the Miraco screen: “Unresponsive, please wait or restart the program.”
and I just wanted to let you know that I’ve got the MiracoPro v1.2.2.85 software version.
Do you have any ideas on how I can solve this problem?
Hi @bbdgi I go through many Miraco’s and actually never got message like that before " Unresponsive " so something new to me here .
No sure if it is the Miraco here or USB port. Hopefully you are using USB 3 port for PC mode ?
Anyway I suggest you contact customer@revopoint3d.com
For technical assistance , you can include link to this thread as well
And if possible make short video showing what’s happening and include with your email for faster response to the issue.
Now personally when I had issue with connecting my early Miraco to my computer via PC mode was actually the cable that my PC for some reason don’t liked. I purchased new Thunderbird USB C, 8 GB cable and problem was solved.
I also ordered USB C powered HUB , because when Miraco connects via USB to your computer it will drain the power and trying to charge , and since it is very power hungry my PC refused to power it and disconnect , despite my mother board support it.
It is not recommended to use PC/Laptop USB ports for charging at this level ,as it shorter the lifespan of your USB ports.
Now another situation can be that your Revo Scan software do not have permission under Windows privacy settings to allow connect extern cameras .. check if Revo Scan is on the allowed list in your camera privacy settings under Windows Systems .
That are 2 things from my early experiences and issues ..
Thank you for replying. I would like to mention a couple of situations. I had connected to the PC before, but after the software update I realized that it was not connecting.
The revoscan is allowed in the privacy settings.
It does not recognize it as a camera in device manager. It identifies it as a universal serial bus driver.
Could this be the problem?
Yes that is the problem for sure , usually it should change automatic in 2-3 second to camera after connection .
Did you tried any other USB port to kick the driver in ? Sometimes it helps , on my workstation the front USBs never worked proper I had to use back panel ports and only one actually worked .
Yet on my windows tablet never any issues .
Normally when you connect to your computer you will hear 2 sounds, the second one kick in the camera driver , it is plug and play , so not sure exactly what driver is responsible for the camera.
Try any other USB 3 C cable if you have, may be even your USB C fast charging cable from your phone.
Maybe the original got lose and do not proper connect.
