Recently i bought a Miraco scanner and i’m feel glad of using it. But i live in location with cold winter with average temperatures 5-15 degrees Celsius below zero. At the user manual mentioned that operation temperature range is beetween 0-40 degrees Celsius, but i cannot obey this conditions with some clients because of large objects. So, can Revopoint’s experts explain, what could happen with scanner at long-term below zero using except negative affect on battery? Does something happens with optics?
Upon confirmation, the operational temperature range for MIRACO is -20 to 60 degrees Celsius. Following actual testing, MIRACO can function normally at -10 degrees Celsius. Low temperatures do not have a significant impact on the battery; they only affect the battery’s endurance.
MIRACO will respond exactly the same way as your phone or tablet to cold temperatures , at -10 C the battery will drain out very quickly and you will have touch screen responsibility issues .
It is important to not switch from hot to very cold temperatures using electronics , they need to be slowly warmed up again before usage , so if you use it outdoors in a very low temperature, you need to shut it down and warm up slowly again indoor before use and vice verse .
Hi, thanks for a quick feedback! That’s good news for me! Could I ask you for sending to backlog fixes about operating temperature range in manual?

BTW I forgot to ask one thing.
Does the long-term scanning in PC mode or long-term charging at 100% affects on battery life or engineers have provided for this and made a smart power supply system?
It can affect the USB port overtime on the PC
I would suggest to use external powered USB 3 hub in this case to stop drying the power direct via the motherboard .
Each battery life have specific amount of charges , over time it will decline naturally however there will be possibilities to change the battery using Revopoint Support .
I don’t think that is necessary , no electronic device should be operated in negative temperatures , common sense .
Even if it passed the test , there will be always some anomalies at -10 C that can’t 100% guarantee that .
It depends on the environmental conditions.
This mean if you can’t touch anymore your MIRACO touchscreen at -10 C is not the device fault and no claims can be made .
Jane provided the info for you but not a quarantine, as that is impossible .
