Leave your feedback & suggestions on the Revo Scan 5

True, but if using a decent multiplatform framework for development it should be as easy as pressing the “build for Linux”-button. And as the share of Linux desktops is so small, so will the number of support questions be😉

Oh @pbn_revopoint

I wish you get all u want and need my friend !

I got you info I know about … not I decide on that either.

Hello,
For the 3D connexion mouses users, could you add on revoscan, these two differents mouses :
-Space exlporer
-Standard 3D mousse (with wire)

Thanks for your help, Rodrigue

Hello,

I am unable to install due to lack of support for ARM64. Any thoughts of compiling a build with compatibility?

Thank you.

I forwarded you question to the team.

Hello, are you using Windows or MacOS? Are you referring to the software Revo Scan 5 or Revo Scan 5 MetroX?

Hi, Jane,

I am using a Surface Pro running Windows 11 with an ARM-based processor. When I try to install Revo Scan 5 the installation stops immediately because it will not install on a system other than “x86”

Thanks!

We will provide feedback on this suggestion. Thank you!

Hello, our software currently does not support ARM-based processors. If there is a growing demand from users in the future, we will consider adapting it. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Hi, not related to Revopoint support, but I have noticed that your new laptop is ARM based. Revopoint SW only works on x64 platforms (there are a couple of messages about this topic on this very same thread)

You are right Roberto ,
Snapdragon chips, licenses the ARM architecture to create their processors so it is not supported at this moment by Revopoint.

Hi Jane, Microsoft only offers ARM processors on their new Surface computers. This is going to become a larger issue for Revopoint.

Hi, thanks for sharing this with us! We’ll take another look at the suggestion.

Hi to all, one question,
into the new version of revo5 there are the possibility to merge mesh…???
With the old 4.0 we can chose or point or mesh… with the new version only point…
I’m not able or I don’t know how ???
Let me know.
Many thanks
Gmgb

You mean with Revo Studio, because there is no Revo Scan 4.0 that allows merging.

There is no way to merge mesh in Revo Scan 5 +
You need to import point cloud to be able to merge it and after that mesh it

The old Revo Studio converted meshes to point cloud automatic before merging, but that function is no more available in RS5+

After you imported 2 point clouds you will have the option to merge them by point or feature as usual.
