Hey folks! If you have the MINI or MINI2 and already ordered a new INSPIRE, please share your experience with its ability to pick small details and their crispness
I’m really hoping that the INSPIRE 2 can provide nearly the same amount of details as the MINI2 without the need for scanning spray.
INSPIRE 2 is totally different scanner and do not have the accuracy of Mini or Mini 2 , on top it is infrared scanner so it can’t reach the same details as blue light scanner.
Only MetroY Pro and MetroX have this ability using Auto mode that can be compared to Mini or Mini 2 .
Inspire 2 is something slightly below POP3 but above POP2 regarding accuracy plus it has infrared laser mode but not with Mini series accuracy .
For that only reason it is a comparison between Apple and Orange , totally 2 different animals and so the price.
That sounds a bit weird, since MIRACO has the same Single-frame Accuracy as MINI2 and MIRACO Plus even better… despite the fact that MIRACO is an infrared scanner.
That’s why I’m exactly asking about a real scan comparison and not hypothetical speculations about their specs.
You can’t reach the same accuracy with infrared , blue light is the only one that can truly reach 0.02mm
I have all MIRACO SERIES , they are very very closer but more like 0.03 mm and it is technically impossible to get higher with infrared . And mostly the Plus devices can reach 0.03 mm , regular around 0.03-0.05 mm
I am not speculating about anything , I am the quality tester and accuracy checker for all Revopoint products ( scanners ) and INSPIRE 2 is an entry scanner , not replacement for Mini series or MIRACO series.
That are the facts ! Specifications are for a reason, nothing else matter as they are written down after final testings .
Since INSPIRE 2 can only reach the accuracy of 0.05 mm , it is much below Mini series, MIRACO series , Metro series and Pop 3 plus
I’m agreed here but only for structured light technology, and not for lasers… where its wavelength not too much affect for the finals result, since it completely different technology, as you say like apple and orange. And since the new INSPIRE 2 a laser scanner as well, it technical can easy provide more crisper details or the same as MINI.
And if you’re a quality tester you should know that for laser scanner is more important the width of its lines. But since we never get this info from Revopoint, only that remains for me is to ask for a real comparison. And I’d really appreciate if you can do that.
Its not the width its the crispiness of the edge and how true the edge is. the infrared laser is for use in daylight to get god signal return. and its still using the same receiving system as for structured light as best I can tel. You cant cant compare blue laser ti infrared two completely different tools if you could achieve the same with infra red there would be no reason for any manufacturer to produce blue laser scanners. A solid state blue laser is more expensive and harder to produce than infrared. It would be nothing more than a expensive gimmick
There is no a doubt about that is is an entry scanner , but still a great device for every day use for beginners that start their journey with 3D scanning .
