Imported Point Cloud fails to Mesh

I took a small Mesh in ASC format, loaded it into MeshLab and exported it in PLY and OBJ formats.

I imported each into Revo Scan and they presented as a Fused object (no surprise there).

Isolation and Overlap failed (Isolation selected everything and Overlap selected nothing, regardless of the settings).

Moreover, Mesh failed, too (nothing was created).

So… am I doing something wrong or is this a known bug?

I don’t understand what you expected to be created ?

If the isolation selected everything this means the scale may be too small , isolation only works if there are lose points not connected to the main model.

Overlap only works if there are overlapped points at specific distance from the main object

Your exported files may not have all the informations needed for the tools

Try to export just point cloud , make sure your ply is in rich format as that is used in RevoScan and scale is in mm

I imported models as fused point clouds from Cloud Compare ply format and works just fine when merging etc.. and cleaning after . Isolation and other tools working just fine so blame it on the exported model you imported as that probably the reason .
