The turntable that is included is automatic in Auto mode , but you can run it manually too .
In Auto mode the scanner need to be fixed on its tripod .
And yes wired connection is the best choice , however WiFi connection is as good . Not big differences.
I can atest that the wireless connecting if very finikey (if you use color as well) with it. It can disconnect in turntable mode if its not linked via cable. Happened to me 3/7 times I tried it.
My PC is:
Ryzen 9950X, with wifi 6.
I just made tests today without any problems .
The problem is your setting in the system that switch the WiFi off because it don’t have Internet , you need to set up proper in your system. It has nothing to do with the scanner or software .
