Hello! I am considering purchasing the Revopoint Mini 2. I need it for my small dental laboratory to scan gypsum dental models for creating crowns, bridges, and, if possible, veneers. I would like to know if this scanner is suitable for these purposes, or if you have any scanned 3D dental stl/obj models available so I can see what it is capable of. Thank you in advance!
I don’t have any dental scans for you, but I have a tip: take a look at the MetroX. I think you’ll get better results with it, along with the automatic turntable scan.
Hi!
I have mini 1 and got very pleasant scanning results on dental casts, both using continuous scanning mode and even more using single shot mode- both with dual axis turntable .
I should get my Metrox anytime soon to compare the results. Meanwhile you can compare metroX and mini2 here: Revopoint Handheld 3D Scanner Comparison
notice some higher accuracy and precision for MetroX, but slightly smaller fused point distance (“resolution”).
Regarding samples: use the search function and look for “dental” and “teeth”
