How to remove markers from the scanned file

Question, when you scan using markers attached to the part, how do you remove them from the scan. I assumed you do smoothing but I don’t want to smooth the part as much as it takes to remove them. Any tutorials or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I am having the same issue. I generally select the remove markers tab while fusing it. After I’ve done the mesh I apply the “ fill holes”. But it always makes it very visible little circle bumps. It never stay flat.

Hi @Signhouse

If you use the scan for reverse engineering, it is better to remove the markers while fusing and do not close the holes to preserve the surface in its original form as much as possible .

Too much editing after fusing will lead to lose in accuracy and dimension .

There is sadly no tutorial because that is already 3D editing and should be done outside of Revo Scan for better precizion .

But what I do is remove the markers while fusing , and after all the cleaning do not remove the holes while meshing but use the hole filler after meshing selecting the holes and parameters according to the surface , round of flat and definitely not all at once .
Then if you have a slightly imperfections you can use the smooth brush.

I do always reverse engineering of all my scans as triangulated scans are really bad for proper edition and need to be first re-meshed to quads before anything else.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I will give that a try.

Hi @Signhouse

If you use Revo Metro , today was special update that include smoothing brush with a parameters , that allows you to set the desired size and strength when smoothing out markers or any imperfections

Thank you, I will download the update
