I am a new user of Revopoint and new to the whole scanning and 3d printing but no longer completely stupid with it.
I am trying to scan an object that i recently patented and am having a hard time. It is long, thin, and somewhat shiny. I used the 3D spray which turned it white but I was still having a difficult time with it.
I watched a video on youtube where he showed a short section on markers, so I put the markers on the object and performed another scan. The scan would have been one of my better images if it didn’t have all of the markers on it. I hope someone will tell me how to remove the markers without having to use the lasso, delete, and fill hole?
I see , the scan looks ok but the markers killed it indeed. You can try and use the option under fusing to remove the markers , if it don’t works , you can use close holes option after meshing , and manually select each hole and choice curved or plane option to close the holes based on its curvature.
It will be not 100% clean but already good base for future editing .
I don’t know what scanner you used so hard to give you more tips , but if you used feature scanning you can add other object around for tracking stabilization to avoid using markers . And if you use laser scanning you could add markers around it to avoid sticking it to the object .
There is many ways to get it better .. waiting for you reply .
