Has anybody received their MetroY , PRO, INSPIRE 2?

Hi Stewart

Yeah 58 fps is pretty good and consider excellent !

For scanning in color you need proper lighting in Auto mode and preferably not day time window lighting , for all the other modes you can scan in total darkness as the scan we do not require any light for scanning .

I did not believe it will make here in 3 days , I guess UPS fixed their issues already .

sounds like I need to turn off color, I went out and got more powerful lightbulbs. I will try it on my Alienware. I am retired and can try it tommorrow.

Lucky you! I’m not retired yet, just tired

Just unboxed mine! Only a little though. Work ran long and I’m still working on this cabinet project for a client in my side hustle .

Got it!

Just did a first (ever) scan of the included bust via Wi-Fi on the included dual-axis turntable and it worked flawlessly.

Really simple to connect, control and view (via an iPhone15 Pro) with over 58fps using a RTX4060 laptop on battery power, as I wanted to see a worst case scenario (Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen4 with 64GB RAM).

Thanks Revopoint - now just need to work out how to use it all properly with an efficient workflow!

Hope that it turns up OK…

I unboxed it and tried a test scan. I’ve got a ton to learn but I was about to get it all running. Used the mirror app on my phone and was impressed by it. I do wish I could change which screen is getting mirrored though. I was able to go downstairs under my office and it still worked. Lost connection in the garage though. I have to test some more.

I also got mine, absolutely blown away by how good it is. I’ve scanned a small part, about 65mm long from 1.5mm shiny black metal and it’s absolutely fantastic. The part was so small I struggled to see what I was scanning!

I’ll post up some photos tomorrow if I get chance but, amazing. I’ve put quite a lot of time into back and forth editing, RevoMetro works with my SpaceMouse which is amazing, it makes identify and trimming rouge points so easy! Currently my 2 buttons on the space mouse are macrod to Undo, and Lasso Select and I have Smooth side bar open, I smooth, look around to find any unnatural spurs, undo, delete the rouge base data, smooth again and repeat till I’ve got nice clean point on each scan. Then combine, and this is a complex part, I didn’t expect it could figure it out, but it snapped together and it looks perfect!

I’m hitting 58fps wireless with a Ryzen 7 5800h and an 8gb RTX3070 mobile. I’ve seen it reach about 34gb total system usage when processing, considering how small my scan is, I’m glad I spent the money on 64gb.

My software or hardware does frequently pause for a second or 2 and the it continues, I’m not sure why, nothing on Task Manager seemed to be stressed.

Just wait till you see these screenshots!

That’s amazing! I was happy to see it used my space mouse also! Program crashed on me once and I didn’t know what much of anything does yet lol. I was getting 58fps during my scan too!

Hello Revopoint,
I haven’t received my Inspire2 yet; it’s not even listed as shipped. I’ve had it on order since September 2nd.
Revopoint is really trying my patience. I’ve already emailed support several times (ticket: Trade-in order follow-up R322920001), and each time they say we’re prioritizing it and it’ll be on its way soon.
It’s been a week since my last contact.
@Revopoint, it’s about time the thing arrived. You’ve had my old POP2 for at least 5 weeks now. I’d love to get back to my projects!!!
Regards,
Andreas

Hi @AndyD

I will check for you personally on Monday when the office is open , but you need to send me your email via PM as I have no access to your order otherwise, I am on a social media team here and not a sales team as they operate exclusively via customer@revopoint3d.com.

Well did my first scan. Had the program crash on me two more times and once crashed my whole computer. Played around with the USB cable to the computer and hated that experience. Wireless is really nice.

Thanks so much, it’s all new so I was trying a lot of things.I had a room of issues with the auto turntable mode. I know it also cracked in parallel mode once. I’ll get better information when I do my next one. I want expecting a lot as their of a lot of learning to do. Oh I had issues with the USB mode too.

Thanks it’s the back to the lamello zeta p2. It’s one of the deciding reasons I got the scanner :joy:. I want to convert the plug over to the festool plug-it system. Maybe I should start a thread of the project.
