Hi All,
Does anyone know what the thread is on the 4 holes in the top of the Dual-axis Turntable ?
I was hoping that they would be standard camera 1/4 inch holes…but no ![]()

I think they are m6 ( metric equivalent of 1/4).
I can double check in the morning
Thank you ! Metric is way easier to work with.I remember learning Imperial back in school 50 plus years ago lol
M6 ISO 1 Thread/mm drill Ø 5mm
1/4 UNC 1,27 Threads/mm drill Ø 5,1mm
1/4 UNF 0,907 Threads/mm drill Ø 5,4 mm
The Turn table Thread has a drill Ø of 5,1 (the max drill Ø for M6 is 5,153mm) and the Gauge can be threaded in to the bottom, if this thread was 1/4 the gauge would bind after 2 threads in, as is the case with the Thread in the Scanner
The MetroY pro has a 1/4 Thread.
Try to thread the Bar Markers from the Marker Kit into the Scanner (not to hard, or it wil be your last time)
I’m not here to teach anyone about threads, but in my profession, I work with threads all day long, and analyzing, repairing, and applying threads is a common task. Therefore, I can only conclude that the thread in the turntable is M6 and in the scanner 1/4 UNC.
I apologize !
Sorry, I didnt mean for this Thread (pardon the pun) to go on so long .
I bought some M6 screws and they fit perfectly.
The reason,
The reason I am doing this is to be able to mount a scanning frame on to the turntable.
Something like this…..a work n progress…
