Anyone having problems with the latest version (.7) MetroX doing nothing

I wish people would read the entire thread before responding.

I clearly state:
“I re ran the calibration on the 9900k/4080 machine. Made no difference. It’s very difficult to use this machine with the short USB cable that comes with MetroX. But I have reproduced the problem w/ it. It is clearly NOT the quadro driver version or the quadro equipped main machine.”

It’s do not believe it’s a video card or computer problem as it does exactly the same thing on two different computers.

At this time, Revopoint is replacing the scanner. IDK why, but they are. I’m not convinced we’ve found the root cause of the problem, but I should have a replacement on Wednesday and we’ll see then.

TBD.

It’s not room lighting either.

I switch the scanner from GPU to CPU and it works correctly. Slow, but works. Same lighting

MetroX don’t use Infrared light to detect markers as it don’t have any infrared on board.
It uses blue light that shining from the LEDs around the Depth camera sensors that detect it at specific angles of reflection.

On the other hand this specific topic have to do with GPU acceleration issue regardless of the GPU used, and the actual scanner that may be the problem for that reason it is in a process of replacement and nothing else.

Note to everyone :
I would suggest to not hijacking other users threads before reading the whole issue first that belongs to the original poster with his specific issue as it turning into complaining thread instead of a support thread.

Start your own support thread in the future to avoid confusion so the support team can address you personally.

I always forwarding your issues directly to the team regardless you contact the Customers Support or not .

Thank you !

A post was split to a new topic: Quadro Card Support RS5M

Seems I’m back in business with the replacement scanner.

I have not run a calibration on it tho. I guess that’s next…

Beautiful , please do not run calibration with your new scanner unless there is a new firmware update in the future or changes to the calibration system in the software to avoid issues .

I know this thread is resolved, but i’m having a similar issue with my scanner. The exposure window shows the markers and everything, fps shows 59+, but nothing in the scan window except “need more markers”. It first showed up on my desktop running rtx4700ti super and 9800x3d with 96gb ram and evo 980 pro ssd. Today i tried on my laptop running an i9 14900hx, 32gb ram, and rtx4700 got one scan of 30000frames, tried for a second and it happened again.restarted the program, got one more scan of 15000 frames, then it happened again. Restarted the program, no change. Disconnected the scanner, waited, reconnected, no change. Restarted the pc, no change…

I bought the scanner on amazon about a month ago and have used it 3 times. Guess i’ll make an appointment with the link above.

Please write all of it to customer@revopoint3d.com for technical support and please start your new thread next time under customer support to avoid hijacking others threads.
