I’d like to clarify where I’m coming from, as there seems to be some misunderstanding.
My comment about “angry customers” was not intended as blackmail or a personal threat. It’s simply a reflection of the ongoing frustration many professionals have expressed around Quadro and other workstation GPUs not performing as expected in this application.
In past discussions, support acknowledged that the software has been optimized primarily around gaming-focused RTX cards and that workstation GPUs have sometimes been deprioritized. I’m referring specifically to statements where support noted that:
Performance issues on Quadro GPUs were a known area still being worked on.
The software team was behind on validation and optimization for these workstation configurations.
Updates were planned but not yet scheduled to improve support for these cards.
This is why I’m pressing for clearer guidance and timelines—many of us invested in these GPUs for professional workflows and are seeing lower performance than even entry-level gaming cards.
I don’t think anyone is trying to “blackmail” support with anger. Rather, we’re trying to highlight a recurring pattern that impacts professional users who rely on predictable performance.
I hope this clarifies my tone and intent. I’m happy to adjust wording to be more constructive going forward, but I do believe it’s fair to expect more transparency about the Quadro situation.
Gaming cards relies heavily on DirectX and specific gaming features , which Quadro cards may lack or not be optimized for.
Quadro drivers prioritize stability and performance for workstation tasks rather than gaming features. This lead to less consistent performance and potential driver issues when running GPU acceleration in Revo Scan 5 MetroX, what is really Nvidia driver issue here in conflict.
There is not really much that can be optimized to make it works with current feature.
Currently GPU acceleration feature is just not suitable for this types of graphic cards that don’t even support Direct X12 , it was never promoted on the product page or promised for the same reason.
To make it works, a complete new feature need to be written especially for Quadro cards and that may be not really fast solution , considering how long it took to write the current codes , it may take months to archive .
You see personally I do not game and use my RTX cards specifically with Nvidia Studio Driver for my 3D tasks and software and the performance was not good with RS5M , to avoid constant changing my driver and settings, I just got myself a powerful laptop to run MetroX and Tracking on and the fact that it was cheaper that my workstation graphic card and the performance optimal just sounds crazy.
So I do we’ll understand your needs here , and I did advocated for the usage of Quadro cards in the latest public versions regardless of the performance level .
But that opened another rabbit hole as I was warned it will . And exactly here we go.
Well give it a couple of months to be sorted out and hopefully the team find the proper solution for that .
There is no other way but just wait and see what the team come out with.
