I would love for these kinds of things to be independent of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or Reddit.

​Besides the well-known privacy concerns, I believe that if a forum is already established (like this one), it should be the primary hub for the community - especially for giveaways and competitions.

​This would also make these events accessible to more people who don’t want to sign up for those platforms, encouraging them to browse the forum and feel more connected instead.

​It reminds me - I actually deleted my Facebook account over 10 years ago…

Nonetheless I have filled out the form (though I can’t join the mentioned Facebook group) - I’d be happy to test and provide feedback.
