Hello

I did see this discussed somewhere before but cant seem to be able to find it.

Does anyone know if there is a way to grab the raw scanned data from the PC after a scan using the trackit?

I have been doing a lot of scanning with this for clients and my current project involves lots of interweaving patterns. When I went to fuse it using high quality mode, it was quite aggressive and left holes in the models. I managed to get round this by using fast mode which seems to ignore most things and leaves them in, however, some parts still get taken away in the fusion.

I got round this by making sure the lasers got in everywhere, however, we did the same scan with a different scanner where we could put the data straight into CAD software and it came out perfect.

Its been fixed in post but was a pain and wanted to add, this is not an issue with the scanner but it would be nice to be able to not use RevoTrack to do the basic fusion (sometimes)

I also read somewhere that i could get the SDK which might get round this issue.

This was job specific and never usually have an issue, but I know I am going to get another job crop up where I will want to be able to do this.

The raw scanning data is in the project folder , what you see in the preview window is a virtual representation of the data at a very low level from that folder , it is not exportable or editable form and no other software can read it. Why ? Because that are individual frames loaded into visual and temporary virtual representation. So no, you can’t grab it since that are unorganized and not fused cells and individual frames.

The only exportable files are the Fused and organized Point Cloud .
