Hello, it could be possible to make an improve that allows to delete points before cloud point fusion?
Or it is It is absolutely necessary to keep all of it?
Thanks.

Hi @Angell
You can remove /edit raw scan before firing but that depends of what scanner you use and what mode? Currently laser mode do not have raw edit , Full Field and Single Auto shot do have raw edit
Metro Y Pro - Laser mode. It is not necessary to fusion all points, that takes a lot of time it could be more efficient to delete raw points that not fit the model before cloud.
Hi Angel,
Yes currently there is not yet a way to remove raw data when scanning using laser mode , too much data to be handled but I am sure in the future the Dev. Team will a good way for that feature.
To avoid getting too much noises and additional lose points, avoid to scan surfaces with too high laser settings if not nesesery , especially surfaces that are reflective van generate micro noises and reflections that are captured by the software while scanning , there is lots of stuff to get this under hand , lower the brightness of the laser , use 3D spray or matting sprays .
Yes the problem is that I choose black part mode to scan becase is a plastic black part, over a black table over the turn table black…![]()
That made a lot of raw points.
Is just an example how delete raw points woud be very usefull.
Hi @Angell
If you used laser mode you can’t edit the raw data , the raw data is just visualization , not currently editable under laser mode .
Make sure the object is not direct on the black place / turntable , I use plexy glass and put on it my objects , then set proper the brightness of the laser so it only capture what I need , however if your surface is black and shiny, you can’t do anything about it if you don’t use 3D spray , Raw edit only remove manually parts do not clean noises , you will need to do it after fusing and use the cleaning tools like lose points cleaner and overlapped points to get rid of the noises
