The frame lost in revoscan

I performed a scan with the MIRACO PLUS device in FAR mode using the global marker. The scan contains 637 frames in continuous mode. When I transfer the file to the computer wirelessly, the initial raw image is correct and the file size is also correct. However, when I run the fusion process, only 6 frames appear in the frame list and only those are processed.
It’s also worth mentioning that when I perform the fusion on the scanner itself, no frames are removed, so the issue must be with the computer software.

It’s worth mentioning that I recently updated both the computer software (version 5.5.4.1776) and the scanner itself (version 1.2.6.5).

Hi @redwishi

Did you tried to copy the project direct from the MIRACO when connected via USB to your computer and paste it in your folder on PC ? And see if the same issue ?

Looks like the project was corrupted while transferring via WiFi .

If the project imported via USB have issue as well please contact CS at customer@revopoint3d.com

The technician will help you out.

Hi @JonahScott

You can’t preserve all frames , all double frames from the same angles are removed while merging and only the best are left to complete the scan. Merge option reconstruct the model from multiple scans , it don’t merge them all into one blob . The same happened when fusing the scan , it will pick only the best frames what is usually around 36-90 ( depends of the completion of the scan, no matter you captured 300-1000 frames.

Processing on computer instead of MIRACO will give you higher quality.

Just connect MIRACO to computer via USB in transfer mode , open the project folder of MIRACO and copy and paste the projects to your hard drive before opening it in RevoScan software for processing . The fastest way.

Process and clean each scan before merging , this means trimming anything off that don’t belongs under Fused mode ( point cloud) artifacts etc.

I’m facing a similar problem. Miraco Plus V1.2.6.5 problem when importing files to PC Revoscan 5.5.5. Editing keyframes and combining point clouds does not work. At best, it still shows 10 frames out of 300 and is already working with them. The files were transferred both over wi-fi and over the wire, and through small tests, the error most likely appears when working in marker modes. Everything is working on the Miraco scanner itself.
