I scanned my sneaker in several passes. Cleaned them all up, merged them together, meshed it, and closed a few holes. The vertex colors are there but the Texture button is greyed out. Is that normal?

Hi Phil ,
How you doing ? Long time no see
What scanner are you using ?
I assume all color projects are in the same main project ?
Yes, I missed you at Printopia. Oh I forgot to say it. My messages disappeared and I had to type it all over again. The Inspire 2. Yes it’s all in the same project.
OK I solved the problem, it was my fault. After I made the mesh I deleted the scans to save memory. Turns out those are needed for the texture information. I did the scan again and kept them. This time I had the Texture button.
Hi Phil , I suspected you removed the image data , for that reason I asked if the projects are still available and not just point clouds .
I wish there was a way to create the textures direct from just from vertex color but right now it is impossible.
Usually, it happens if ‘Color’ wasn’t toggled on during the initial scan or if the fusion settings were changed mid-stream. It’s worth double-checking that all the individual frames in your project still have their texture thumbnails - if one is missing, the merge usually greys out the texture option to be safe.
As you read the scans was without a project file, so there was no color data available . It is already solved, thank you for your feedback!
