Apologies if this has been discussed before, but it was a surprise to me.
I have noticed an interesting change. Years ago, it was explained to us that applying a Texture to Merged objects was not allowed, as I recall primarily due to memory limitations. I am experimenting with my new Miraco Plus. Using Revo Scan 5.4.12 on my 64GB system, Texture was applied to the Merged object with no complaints. As the names for the two scanned objects indicate, one was scanned in Continuous/Near mode at 4K (@ 1.0x zoom) and the other in Single/Far mode at 8K (@ 1.5x zoom).
I used the 1.5x Zoom for one of the models shown above. Haven’t experiments with PMK, yet. I think I’ll pull my car out of the garage one evening and see what I get.
PMK takes long time to prepare and lots of regular markers and you need to go partial with the scans at a time , lots of work scanning a car , probably 4-12 hours to finish everything , big challenge.
Agree. I have a car covered with the PMK markers in the garage… didn’t remember the focal distance for the Photo Capture, its pretty far from the object… Anyways now the car must be moved to complete the Photo Captures of the markers. Its been stormy here so no clue when this task will be completed lol.
