Splitting Project Up By Model

Is it possible to take the entirety of a data folder/model from one project and put it in another? I didn’t realize it would be an issue until I realized that some of the scans in a project were meant for different end users, but I want them to have the flexibility of being able to do their own edits if they want.

Thanks!

I tried doing this the other week without success. What I had to do was export the point cloud, open up the project I wanted in Revo Scan, and then import the point cloud in. This is an annoying way to do it.

You can in general export point clouds or meshes for use in other programs such as Blender, Cloud Compare, Geomagic, etc…

Yeah, so far my solution has been to copy the entire project folder several times, then go into each one and delete all but the models for that end user.

Hi, i have the same problem here with some hudge project with miraco. I don’t recreate a new project for each scan so my project file came up to 7Gb.

Actually i have a solution by hand with editing each xml node in revo file but it’s tedious

A simple extract/split scan option will be a great things

You have already option to scan your object in separate projects. Just use it accordingly.

Scanning so many objects in one project will drag down your RAM and resource while processing them.

The best option is to fuse them then export and import in a new project to save on resource.

Copy and export of separate projects data is currently not available , maybe in the near future.
