Hey, do you think it will pick up metal and super reflective objects just fine? Maybe like a knife blade? This would be my first scanner or should I go for the metrox? Thanks!
You can’t scan super reflective surfaces like polished metals or mirrors , the surface still need to project the infrared laser on it , so super reflective will mess up with the sensor no matter what scanner you are using .
As for starter , I suggest you get INSPIRE 2 , it is less problematic, easy to use and very portable . A good device to start your new journey plus you can scan other objects that other scanners could have issue with like living subjects . More versatile for beginners and more fun !
Thanks for the feedback, another question for you though. If I’m planning on scanning mostly metal even if it is dull metals do you think the inspire 2 will have about the same scanning ability to scan metals as the metrox? Thanks so much!
MetroX is faster and MetroY and MetroY Pro even double faster than MetroX
So if you have budged and only have interest in scanning metals and mechanic parts , invest better in MetroY , it is 3 times faster than INSPIRE 2 laser mode, 2 times faster than MetroX , and wireless and can scan everything you need.
