I also Scanned one of my mirror bullets that I made, pulled it into fusion 360 and compared it to the CAD model. Reducing the scan to 10% it’s almost dead on accurate with the CAD
I tested the sizing and basically if I reduce the scan files to 10% they seem dead on. Here is a part I designed before the scanner, fits perfect on the scan
thats badass. good job and i’d like to see more. would you consider making a youtube video of how you do your scan? i am super impressed by your result
Hi! Nice work! but what do you mean exactly by “reducing to 10%”? POP scan in true size already. do you reduce both scan AND CAD design to 1/10nth of true size and enlarge it at the end?
I’ve been using BODY setting for all my car scans and to make the actual size correct in my CAD software (Fusion 360) I need to scale the scan down to 10% of its size to be accurate. I’m not sure if it’s the same for other styles of scabs.
Also I’ve scanned both using my iPhone and my Mac (running windows in parallels) and the computer seems to capture way better detail, sadly I wanted to be able to use the portability of the iPhone setup. But I’ll keep testing and see if we can get a decent process with the iPhone too.
I’ll try and make a video this week
take a look to this:
these are new products from a german company with the lowest price i’ve seen for these kind of sprays. Products are excellent, we use it in the company.
i don’t know from where you are - maybe they sent to your country.
Sadly their page says “Delivery to the rest of the EU and non-EU countries is currently not possible”. I am in New Zealand, so quite a long way away.
One thing you can try is to turn the gain up in the lower left panel. I’ve tried this for some dark objects and it does increase how much of the darker colors get picked up.
Wow nice scan!! Do you know how to create a sticker of the shapes of a part of a car ? like car wrapping but with pre-cut sticker ? thanks
