Scanning NSP Gray Clay

I’m scanning a dark gray NSP Clay and want to find out if the clay should be sprayed first with scanning spray. I’ve tried a couple of scans on the dark object setting and have been consistently missing some areas that may have a lot of shadow in them. I’m using the Mini. Objects are small, about 3x3x.5 inches.

I don’t think you need to spray the clay , use the depth exposure on Auto so it can change when you move to the darker areas automatic .

If the clay is painted , you should use 3D spray for best results .

Thank you so much!
